The BJP on Wednesday hit back at Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia for his letter to the Lieutenant Governor for its move to convert a plot allotted for a government school into its party office. The BJP launched a counter-attack on the Aam Aadmi Party government by alleging that it has failed to begin construction of schools on 40 plots allotted by the Delhi Development Authority (DDA).
“How much the Kejriwal government is concerned about education of children is obvious from the fact that the Delhi government has 40 school plots allotted by the DDA, but it has not started construction even on a single plot. In this situation, the furious Kejriwal government raised the issue of allotment of the office plot to the Delhi BJP in order to divert the attention of people from its failures,” said Delhi BJP chief Satish Upadhyay.
“Mr. Sisodia had tried to blame the DDA and the L-G for the allotment of this plot and changing the land use, whereas, the reality is the ownership of the plots allotted to the BJP and other political parties at Pt. Deen Dayal Upadhyay road since 2001 is with the Central government’s L&DO,” he said.
