The BCCI president Shashank Manohar told The Hindu on Saturday that he spoke to the PCB chief Shaharyar Khan on Friday to ascertain if Pakistan would play in India in December.
The two Boards have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to play two Tests and five ODIs in the UAE.
“I spoke to him only because I have to inform the Indian Government the correct position.
“That’s all. The PCB chief said he needs time and he will revert in a few days.”
The BCCI chief had sounded the AGM — on November 9 — of the need to honour the MoU, with a rider that the series can be played in Northern India and not in Pakistan or the UAE.
