On Diwali, the last train from all terminal stations across the Delhi Metro network would leave at 10 p.m., an hour ahead of the usual time, the DMRC said.
A Metro official said that until 2013, services used to halt even earlier as the last train would leave terminal stations by 8 p.m.
On Wednesday, the services will terminate early on all six lines, including the Airport Express Line.
Among the terminal stations on the Metro network are Dilshad Garden, Rithala, Samaypur Badli, Huda City Centre, Noida City Centre, Dwarka Sector-21, Vaishali, Kirti Nagar, Inderlok, Mundka, Central Secretariat and Escorts Mujesar.
New Delhi and Dwarka Sec—21 are the terminal stations of the premium Airport Express Line, which connects New Delhi railway station to Terminal 3 of the Indira Gandhi International Airport.
Metro services will run as usual for the rest of the day on Diwali — from 6 a.m. onwards on all lines and from 4.45 a.m. on the Airport Express Line. — Staff Reporter
