Supercross round to be held in city

In a big boost for motor sport enthusiasts in the City, an international Supercross round will be staged alongside the sixth and final round of the MRF MOGRIP FMSCI National Supercross Championship here on Saturday.
Thirteen riders from six countries will take part in the international moto and demonstration event at the grounds opposite Bharatiya City, Chokkanahalli, Hegde Nagar.
“There will be Suzuki, Honda, Yamaha, KTM, Kawasaki and Huskey bikes roaring through a unique track designed and being put together by international rider Anthony Raynard,” said Shyam Kothari, founder president of Godspeed Racing.
“It will be for the first time that so many riders from different countries are coming together in India.
“Bengaluru has never seen such a show till now and it will be nice to watch the international riders give their best in the race.”
The international riders taking part in the Bengaluru event are David Pulley, Jared Hicks and Bryce Stewart (all from the US), Oliver Eveleigh (Britain), Roger Bergstrom, Dale Jullien, Josh Brodalka and Anthony Raynard (all from South Africa), Alexander Ivanyutin and Vitaliy Gusev (both from Russia) and Tomoya Suzuki (Japan). In the national championship, TVS Racing’s KP Aravind, the overall championship leader, starts the favourite.
