Anil Kumble, who was replaced as BCCI technical committee chairman by Sourav Ganguly at the Board’s AGM at Mumbai, said he was happy with the contribution he had made.
“I believe, as part of the committee, I made a contribution to the game. Yes, it is for others to judge, but, personally, I am happy with what I did.
“As for the position, these are not held in perpetuity and there are tenures,” Kumble said.
An opportunity
Meanwhile, Venkatesh Prasad termed his appointment as chairman of the junior selection committee, as an opportunity to nurture emerging talent.
“It is always good to work at the grassroots level. At this level, it is not just about performance, it is also about judging intent and attitude. I look forward to doing well in this role.”
