In an attempt to be more people-friendly, the Delhi Development Authority (DDA) on Monday launched four mobile applications to receive feedback from citizens about its sports, housing and other facilities.
The mobile applications, which went live on its website, are for taking feedback on ‘DDA Housing Scheme 2014’, ‘DDA sports complexes and golf courses’, for ‘feedback on community halls’ and for ‘engineering measurement books’.
Of the four, three barring the engineering measurement books, are in public domain and focusing on receiving public response and ratings by users of facilities developed by DDA.
The Applications have been launched following DDA Vice-Chairman Arun Goel’s promise to make DDA more accessible and interactive. To keep a tab on contractors hired by DDA for its various works, the DDA has directly linked a part of maintenance/payment made to contractors to the users’ feedback.
Based on the feedback, any action taken by DDA will be e-mailed to the applicant concerned.
For giving feedback on community halls, users can create an account on the application and give their ratings on air-conditioning, bathrooms, behaviour of the staff, cleanliness, and lighting. The ratings would be in the form of stars and the one below three would be ‘not satisfactory’.
For using application for DDA Housing Scheme- 2014, a user can log in with one’s application number to access parameters under two heads i.e., Construction and Maintenance. Under the head ‘construction’, parameters such as seepage, condition of doors, windows, water supply, condition of sanitary, facade of the building, lifts, etc, can be given; whereas in case of ‘maintenance’, parameters like grit wash, roof condition, etc, can be given.
The application for feedback on sports complexes, etc, can be downloaded on Smart Phone or can also be viewed on the desktop.
For receiving feedback on its golf courses, parameters like condition of the course, condition of the grass and all other facilities have been listed.
