Six persons were killed and eight sustained injuries in a road accident at Farrukhnagar here on Thursday. The deceased include two women and two children.
The accident took place in the evening when a truck collided head-on with an auto-rickshaw. Deputy Commissioner T. L. Satyaprakash and Pataudi Sub-Divisional Magistrate Ravinder Yadav reached the spot soon after receiving information about the accident and helped take the victims to the nearest hospital. Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar has announced a compensation Rs.1 lakh to next of kin of each of the deceased.
