Twitter divided over Anupam Kher's reaction to #AwardWapsi

Dibakar Banerjee, Anand Patwardhan and eight other filmmakers have announced that they are returning their awards, condemning the murders of rationalists like MM Kalburgi and recent killings related to rumours of beef-eating and cow slaughter. 

Before them, 40 writers have returned their awards or quit posts in literary body, Sahitya Akademi. However, Anupam Kher has accused the 'Award Wapsi Gang' of being politically motivated. He also blamed them for being instrumental in him being ousted as the Censor Board Chief in 2004 by Manmohan Singh's UPA government. Here's what he wrote in a series of tweets..
