Unidentified body resembling Dr. Kalburgi's killer found
The body found in Khanapur resembles one of the sketches of the killers.

The Karnataka police have found the dead body of an unidentified man, who has close resemblance to one of the killers of Kannada writer Dr. M.M. Kalburgi in Belagavi district, north Karnataka.
Though the unidentified body was found on October 18 near the Khanapur forests that the body resembles one of the killers was brought to the notice of the higher-up only Wednesday. An unused bullet was also found lying next to the body.

"We cannot say anything upfront. We need to first ascertain the identity of the dead body," said Belagavi SP Ravikanthe Gowda.
After unidentified men killed Dr. Kalburing at his residence in Dharwad nearly two months ago, the police released the sketches of the suspects. Till now, the police have not been able to trace them. The body found in Khanapur resembles one of the sketches of the killers.
So far, nobody has come forward to claim the body. The police are now examining the missing person complaints lodged in the last one month across the state.
